Description
The OptiClimate Plant Temperature Camera can be connected to the system to monitor crop evaporation. A plant temperature that is too high is a sign that the plant is having difficulty evaporating (for example, with too little water or too much light). In that case the DimLuxes are dimmed or switched off to bring the plant temperature down to an acceptable level. If this does not happen the plant continues to limit its evaporation with closed stomata, whereby the absorption of CO2 and photosynthesis come to a halt.
There will be no more production by the plant. If this continues for too long, leaf burn will occur and the motor (leaves) of the plant will be irreparably damaged. For the plant, the plant temperature is more important than the room temperature.
