The MST/Philips VSA (ballast or transformer is specially designed for the Son-T plus lamp and therefore gives the ideal ratio to obtain an optimal color spectrum. The Lumen output of the MST/Philips VSA is up to 20% higher than that of other VSAs. The MST/Philips VSA is available in both 400 and 600 watt. The MST/Philips VSA is of the remote-ballast type, this means in short that the ballast and the reflector are 2 separate components.

The MST/Philips VSA ballasts are made of high quality components, they excel in reliability. This series of ballasts are not IP classified, so they are not suitable for use in damp areas, or where there is a risk of leakage. Of course, they do have an earth connection.
