Description
Citric acid is an organic acid that occurs naturally in fruits. Excessive levels are harmful to the plant and damage the root system. At the correct dosage, citric acid is converted into phosphates (adenosine triphosphate or ATP and adenosine diphosphate or ADP). ATP and ADP are energy carriers and transport them to the leaf and root system. In doing so, both are essential for plant growth. Use Citric Acid to lower the pH of the substrate or water to the desired value, or for flushing substrate. Always do this without nutrient solution (flushing).
